Fortum Nuclear Services Ltd. has a solid power company background and long experience in various phases of nuclear power plant life cycles. Our experience is based on the work we have performed at Fortum's Loviisa nuclear power plant in Finland and several other nuclear power plants and radioactive waste management facilities. In all projects and assignments, we promote a high level of safety.

We see nuclear R&D (research and development) programs as important for guaranteeing the safe and economic operation of nuclear power plants. We have our own R&D programs (one on thermal hydraulics and a second one on operations and maintenance), and we also participate in national and international R&D programs.
