Over 40 years of nuclear power experience

Fortum has a solid power company background and long experience in various phases of nuclear power plant life cycles. Our experience is based on the work we have performed at Fortum's Loviisa nuclear power plant in Finland and tens of other nuclear power plants and radioactive waste management facilities around the globe.

For us,  the R&D (research and development) is a key to safe and economic operation of  nuclear power plants. We have our own R&D programs for thermal hydraulics and operations and maintenance. We also participate in national and international R&D programs.
